You, my friend, are a gift. A beautiful, wonderful, complex, special, and unique gift. And, there is someone who is wishing on every star for you right this moment. No, they might not know your name right now, and they aren’t sure exactly what it is that they do need – but they know they need something, and YOU are the person that God put on this planet who is the answer to their prayers. You are the one who will finally bring them peace of mind, solutions, a way forward. You are here to bring them hope.
You do see it, don’t you? The solution to a problem that seems to clear to you. Yet, you are keeping it to yourself, playing small, playing it safe, shrinking. This could be happening anywhere: At work, at home, your neighborhood, your children’s school, church, your community, or in other spheres of influence you might inhabit. It is so much safer to sit in the back, to not draw attention to yourself, to believe you are not good enough, to believe everyone is like you, that everyone already knows the answer… Some of you might even judge others who are trying, who are putting themselves out there, who are sharing their gifts.
If you see the way, if you see the solution everyone needs – you don’t have to start your own business in order to share your gift, although that is always an option. There are so many other ways to share your gifts. I am going to give you tons of ideas in this episode about how you can share your gifts and easy, everyday ideas that you can make a difference – in so many areas of your life.

- The next time you find yourself (or someone else) at work point out something that is wrong, maybe you’ll hear the phrase, “That’s been screw up for years,” “Someone should do something about that,” “When are they finally going to fix that?” Hmmm… maybe you can think that “THEY” can be you. I have discovered that it often only takes one person to DECIDE to get all the right people on a phone call or a Zoom and it’s amazing how much you can accomplish. Is petty crime rising in your neighborhood? Again – it just takes one person to decide to create a neighborhood watch. Do you know a family at your child’s school, in your neighborhood or church who are really struggling for some reason? It takes only one person to get a group of people to go get them a Christmas tree, wrap a few presents for the kids, and take a sack of groceries to them. Can you imagine? That might only cost $300 or so – spread across a few people, but it might make a WORLD of difference to a family. It could change their entire outlook.
- 2020 and this time of year, Christmas, Hanukah, New Year….
- One IDEA for a new year resolution: As you are thinking about what your resolution will be this year – I want you to consider how you can share a piece of yourself in making the world a better place. Right there where you are, your workplace, your family, your friends, your neighborhood or your community. Think of how you can give back to the world that built you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to each of you. I KNOW you are a gift, I see it so clearly – it is the reason I keep showing up here to help you find your way, to help you though your challenges. All I want is for you to take your talents out into the world and shine, as you were meant to shine. I am beyond blessed that you take time, each week, to spend some time with me. I pray that you have the week ahead that you are wishing for and I’ll be back next week to kick off our march into 2021 – so come ready to make the biggest dream you have finally come true!
One request I have, if you made it this far today…. The only gift I could request from you: If you think this podcast will help another person, if you believe this podcast has value, would you please leave a review in Apple Podcasts (or where ever you are listening).
